19 of the Russian's 21 titles have been earned on hard courts
A comeback the Russian player claimed his first title for over two years with success over Corentin Moutet in the tournament title decider.
The athlete, a former number one, has endured a torrid year, managing just one match at the big events and experiencing a difficult moment at the US Open.
His inconsistency on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serve in specific - led to him falling of the world's top 10 and eventually parting ways with former trainer Cervara.
Currently working with his coach and Goetzke, he has steadily progressed in the past month - culminating in a tightly fought competitive win over Frenchman Moutet.
This marks his maiden trophy since the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard surface after spring of the previous year.
The win also signifies Medvedev has won 21 titles at twenty-one different competitions.
"It's the first time I have attended a event with my two daughters at once, so to secure a trophy is especially meaningful," said ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in dedication of my younger daughter my daughter, because the initial championship I got when my first daughter her name was born was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had failed in his previous six finals, comprising in Halle earlier this year.
Medvedev's retrieving play style and recurring emotional displays on the tennis court had prompted observers to wonder if his skill to perform at the top level was over.
Yet the player has made changes in the last few weeks, striving to approach the net and perform assertively, supported by an improved service.
He fought back from a disadvantage in the initial set against the tricky opponent, winning 4 of the final five points to gain the advantage.
The pair traded break points in the middle set before the Frenchman, bidding for his initial professional title, seized the initiative to create a third set.
The opponent defended 4 early opportunities in a tight deciding set before the champion won the break to that score to secure the win.
Fittingly, he clinched the win with a rally at the front of the court, with his opponent failing to handle a return after over two and a half hours.
